My grandfather who is on a fixed income is insured by GEICO. I can't say he will be much longer, but anyways. So his windshield got cracked, and on this vehicle he has FULL COVERAGE, he went to the lot he bought it from to see if he would go through them for the repair or through his insurance company.  The lot told him his insurance would cover it and to talk to them. My grandfather hasn't been in an accident in over 32 years mind you. So my grandfather decides to go to safelite glass repair. They tell him that if he buys it straight across from them it'll be  $319.00 for glass and install. So he calls GEICO to see what his deductible on it was $500... So it's cheaper to not go through your insurance company? I thought insurance companies helped us out not took advantage of us. Insane that this poor excuse of a company still gets promoted on tv and radio. And you can bet this is only the beginning of my action to spread awareness of the scum that would actually take advantage of an elderly man.  Good thing GEICO isn't a nursing home, I'm sure it would be ran like a Nazi concentration camp.

Waited just to be acknowledged.  When we finally were, the man seemed like he did not want to help at all. Took our business elsewhere.

Super helpful, knowledgeable,  and friendly agents.  I was just shopping around and they spent a lot of time with me explaining my options.

My agent is a different Geico guy up north but Geico has been raising my rates despite a perfect driving record for 25 years, no claims in 35 years. Almost 60% increase in 5 years, over 20% this year alone. Maybe I am paying for the flood cars in Texas? Burnt fancy cars in Calif? Get real Geico, my family sedan is 15 years old. Get your greedy mitts out of my pocket.
