First off, the place is gross just because the uniforms the waitresses are required to wear. Some weird 1950's misogynistic vision of what a server should look like. They look uncomfortable and it made us feel uncomfortable watching them having to work in such ridiculous outfits.
The interior needs a make over but is the least of the problems with the establishment. It was clean both times we visited. However that does not distract enough from the general malaise of everything else.
The food was not great, a lot of frozen and reheated options. It's hard to screw up breakfast but it happens ...... Both times we visited, the orders had something incorrect, the food was sub-par at best. 
Truly, the only reason this place has a customer base is because the convenient location next a hotel. A hotel that serves a lot of navel recruits and their families. It's a shame that this might be there last meal together.

If you're in Waukegan for any reason you must eat here! I was here for my son's graduation from the Navy boot camp and ate here almost everyday. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I am definitely going back.

Can't go wrong with this place. Definitely has a vintage, comfort-food feel. Nothing better than late-night breakfast and it was GOOD. Fresh strawberries would have been nice, but after a few drinks who really cares?!?

Great place to eat!!! Family dining, great wait staff. Unlimited coffee :) very reasonable prices. Did I mention great wait staff??? Great food breakfast, lunch or dinner. If I ever return to the Chicago area I will definitely make a special trip to eat here

Oh my gosh. My mom, husband and I had been blown away by our experience. We came for breakfast and everything was delicious. We all shared what we ordered. French toast with a blueberry compote,  Belgian waffle, biscuits with gravy, and a side plate of eggs and sausage. All of it was great. Now the service was fantastic. I can't remember our servers name I'm sorry to say. She came by a few times to refill our coffee and check our water cups. I can't wait till I go back but I live I California so I'll be waiting a while.
