Honestly, i was expecting bland food. But it tastes great. Would never have thought that. And they put a good amount of meat in every dish. I normally eat a lot so i thought this would be great to watch me eating habits. I eat only 1700 calories a day now but feel just as full from when i was eating about 2300

I gave it three stars, b/c they're part of a non-profit that does great things for their community. However, this food is sub-par. I selected the vegetarian option, and was expecting a lot of vegetables, but I got all pasta. All the pasta tastes like lean cuisine meals on top of that. The concept is great, as is the purpose. They just need to up their culinary game.

I just did a one week "trial" of Good Measure Meals, and I've been incredibly pleased. I have enjoyed the variety, and all of the food I've had so far has been great. There are some things I wouldn't typically buy or try, too, so it's nice to branch out. I do the Breakfast/Lunch (400 cal/meal) Vegetarian plan, and despite comments about the veg. plan not being good, I think it's been delicious. I saw someone commented about food being bland, and I actually kind of like that the meals aren't over-seasoned. You can always add what you need - salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc. - but you can't un-season it. The pick-up is super convenient (at my gym), and although it can be a little expensive, when you think about how much is spent at the grocery store, time to cook, etc., it really doesn't seem like that much more. And convenience is huge. I like the B/L plan so that I can still cook or go out for dinner. It just saves me time in the morning of having to pack a lunch, and I'm finally eating a balance breakfast, which does a lot for my energy during the day.

I had been working with a nutritionist and lost 50 pounds from June through September on my own by exercising and cooking for myself. I started losing steam in September though with 30 pounds left, because I was so tired of cooking for myself and having to think constantly about what to eat/what not to eat/when to eat/how much to eat, etc,,, it was exhausting. So I decided to give Good Measure Meals a try in October. 1) It's a no brainer. You pick the food up twice weekly (on Mondays and Thursdays). I take the meals out of the bag and make little stacks for each day and store them in my fridge in a line. When it's time to eat the appropriate meal, I pull it out and heat it either in the oven or on a plate in the microwave. 2) It is delicious. It also makes you wonder how you can possibly only be eating 1,200 calories per day (the plan that I am on). This morning I had a vegetable tart covered in cheese, a turkey sausage pattie, a piece of toast with butter spread and jam, and halved apricots. I could barely even finish it all. It was incredibly filling. I haven't had a bad meal yet, and I am a picky eater. 3) It's nutritionally sound. A team of nutritionists developed it, and there's no way I would eat this many vegetables and fruit servings on my own because of the time it would take to prepare them. 4) It is definitely expensive... and it's too bad they won't give better discounts for repeat customers such as every 8th week free or something like that to help defray the costI used to only spend about $250 per month on groceries for my husband and I. Picking up my meals each month costs me just over $600, and I have to grocery shop for my husband too. We aren't rich by any means, but my husband fully supports my desire to lose these last 30 pounds once and for all and is willing to make short term sacrifices so I can reach that goal. The plan is to stay on it for 8 weeks straight and then cycle it to every other week. It's easy to do this - all you have to do is call the Thursday before the week you want to stop it by 4 PM and give the instructions to the customer service staff. I will update this later at the end of 8 weeks with my more long term findings!
