"Gracie Mews is your standard NYC diner. It has everything on the menu, just as you would expect, all good quality stuff. The moussaka is to die for. The service is very attentive, old New York hands serving you quickly and with a smile. Not only is the food terrific, but it stands out as being better than your average bear because of the decor. The place underwent an expansion and remodel about 5 years ago and is still standing tall and spotless. It has great people-watching opportunities, too, as it is on the corner with big windows. Plenty of big screen televisions all around showing all the games - especially soccer. With those big windows, you can also people-watch into the diner itself, even if you're just walking by! I saw the guy from Law and Order SVU eating there once."

Excellent food, warm attention. A bit pricey. Attendants than over the phone take out orders are a bit impatient, don’t articulate making ordering at times difficult. Many times the orders are delivered incorrectly. Would appreciate this being handled. Thank you very much.

We got to the diner at 9am and were seated quickly. Our orders (and coffees) also came quickly. In spite of this, we will NEVER return to this place!! The waiter eyed our table and waited til we finished eating, never came over except to throw the check on the table without asking if we were finished or if we wanted to order anything else. As the restaurant was filling up, we were asked to leave as they needed the table for new customers. This is no way to run a restaurant. I suggest you find another place, which there are plenty in that area.

Greek diner with large menus and large servings. The quality of the food is another matter. My dish for lunch was burned to a crisp and not edible. How the server could serve such a dish I do not understand.

Excellent service, best hamburger, very good fresh food selection and home feel good rapport by the restaurant owner.
