We love this place! Their coffee cake is the best in the city (maybe the NW?!). Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are great too. I often use their pizza dough and premade pie dough around the holidays. It's an easy place for a quick brunch when you don't want to brave the 1-2 hr waits around town.

I purchased a cheese danish for almost $4! What I got instead was palmier topped with a blob of something that looked like cheese filling but it tasted nothing like it. The pastry was soggy, the service indifferent and just a few hours after I ate the pastry (I ate nothing else in between) I had mild food poisoning for the rest of the day.  With so many pastry shops around Portland I am certain that I will never feel a need to have another pastry here. The second star is for their decent bread. This is the second time I had bad experience with their pastry. If you are going to charge almost $4 for a pastry then that pastry better be worth that money.

Fantastic bakery! 

Everything from the food to the employees are top notch. Relaxed, yet refined environment conducive (to me) for clear thinking. 

Will  highly recommend to all my friends.

Sandwiches and soups are delicious.  Their take home chicken pot pies are great too.  Such a nice bakery and conveniently located.  Fast service, fresh  quality​. Gem of a restaurant.  Local chains have a special place in my heart.
