This is now the second time I've been into the E.R. Here at the Grande Ronde, and the only words I can find to describe the service are absolutely pathetic. I am a student at EOU and my first visit was due to a mountain boarding crash that left some pretty heavy rash and abrasions, I had a female nurse who was kind and cordial, but the service took forever from the time I walked in to the time I left. I spent over an hour in the waiting area after I'd registered; this is more time than I spent being treated! This second time I'm here due to a mystery ailment that is treating me like the flu, I had a gruff and rude male nurse do my initial check and registration (blood pressure, body temp, etc.) it's now been 45 minutes that I've sat in absolute misery waiting for further care. I have nothing good to say about this E.R. or the hospital in general, and would recommend finding a different medical care service when possible. Editing this as I sit here STILL. I was able to overhear as a nurse came out and addressed another group of patients waiting that they are "busy" and it will be another 40 minutes. I understand a busy day and an extra wait, but I'm really perturbed I had to overhear this and I wasn't addressed directly. Upon this new information and yet more lackluster service, I am contemplating leaving without care as the misery I've endured in between sitting in this chair and running to the bathroom to vomit are no longer worth whatever care I would be given whenever they decide I'm worth enough as a patient to address me.

I read the reviews before going into the E.R. . I'd have to say that of all my visits to emergency rooms in my life this by far the best! From admission to doctor 5 star I wish I could bring hospital back to Minnesota with us!!!

10 days into our camping adventure my husband had acute chest pain. We googled the closest hospital and ended up in La Grande. What an incredible, professional, thorough job all the staff did! We are so appreciative for their care. Thank you.
