Came here to fly my drone around and get some shots of the historic houses and train Depot. I've really only been here when there was an event going on in the past, however this was just a normal day and I was surprised at the number of homeless people hanging out in the park. They didn't bother me at all and there were plenty of families with their kids so it all seemed safe. A private security company was patrolling the park and keeping an eye on things.

This park although beautiful, the people occupying it. Make it a huge dope spot!! It's invested with addicts, homeless, and people that are up to no good. It's smack middle in the city of Escondido, so it's busy everyday. You'd think our tax dollars would pay for the Escondido police department to do a better job clearing it out... But well, they don't do a damn thing around here. They'd rather put up check points, and harass middle/ lower class citizens. EPD is a joke...

I've been here over the years with my kids. It's a bummer the grape side is no longer operational. Yes there is a presence of "homeless" and "possibly people addicted to drugs." If you don't know these people's stories nobody shouldn't judge. Maybe more funding needs to be torwards fixing the homeless issues that are present throughout California. P.S. count your're blessings.

Nice small town city park. Has a heritage park with some nice old buildings, including a working blacksmith's shop, where classes are offered. Very nice new play set for kids. Some homeless in area.

Really neat place with some cool things to play on. Only problem is the homeless people. They pretty much have a run on everything, even the bathrooms. Wouldn't even let my son go in there.
