Won't go back.  Went in and they "diagnosed" the problem and said I needed a new fuse box.  They removed a few fuses and said I could still drive (all functions where fuses were removed continued to work though which confused me).  I had good experiences previously (and frankly don't know much about cars) and trusted them.  But after 6 weeks of waiting for the fuse box to arrive (and multiple calls), I took the car somewhere else.  They actually figured out what the problem was and got it corrected in a day.

I was driving to Greenville from out of town when my brakes started acting real fishy. So I roll in, 5 minutes before they closed, on NYE, and essentially begged them. Well, they were happy to help, kind, and understanding. They didn't give me any grief for my timing, and they had fair prices. I would honestly drive the 60 miles again, from my hometown to use these guys. Thanks again y'all, and happy New Year.

Full disclosure, I utilized Greenville Auto Repair in the past several times and I was always happy with the results. A little pricier than some other mechanics I could go to, but I trusted them to do a fine job.

The reason for a 1 star review is because of my latest visit. My wife's car was making a grinding sound whenever she turned left. It had been doing this for a few months so we took it to GAR to get it checked out. They call us back within a couple hours to inform us that the struts are shot, and that we'd have to get them replaced for about $775, which was of course a shock. We were going to take the car back in the following Monday to get the work done and just bite the bullet on the costs. Thankfully, I mentioned the repairs to my father-in-law, who called his trusted mechanic at Cobb Tire to price the repairs. His mechanic said he'd do it for about $300 cheaper, which is great, but not the reason for the 1 star review.

After leaving the car at Cobb Tire, within a few hours they called to tell us that the struts were PERFECTLY FINE, and that the noise was caused by a bent piece of plastic rubbing on the tire. A $20 repair. So the reason for the 1 star review is because GAR were either too lazy to actually look under the car, or they purposely were gouging us for $800, because any halfway competent mechanic wouldn't misdiagnose a bent piece of plastic as crappy struts if they actually took a look. Either way, there is no way I'll be a customer of theirs again.

This place is awesome! I had no clue what was wrong with my car and Marie got me all straightened out. The service was phenomenal and fast! Definitely going back here soon
