We had a great experience here. Campground is well maintained, miles of hiking and biking right from your campsite, beautiful lake and ocean views - so much to do (and this was when the temps were cold - we missed the pool!). We'd love to return in the warmer months when we can take advantage of the beach. Excellent nature center, my daughter loved the owls. Clean, big, laundry facilities. Other campers (mainly snowbirds this time of year - Dec) very friendly. Trails well marked. Easy access to recycling. Thanks for a great stay!

This is one of the nicest state parks I've been to. The first one in Alabama. One complaint I have is if you call the campground office, you most likely will not get to talk to anyone, as they don't answer the phone most of the time. They could use a person dedicated to answering the phone and answering questions. There is lots to do, tennis, volleyball, the pool, a huge fishing pier, bark beach and enclosed play area for dogs and a beautiful beach and pavilion with food vendors for the humans. Also walking and biking paths and zip lining. We would come back again.

This is an amazing park for the person who loves being outside rather you bike, hike, walk, jog, run, kayak, or fish you name it it's perfect!! The boardwalks are amazing. The wildlife viewing is wonderful. Will be spending alot of time here. Nature brings out the best in everyone. People on the trail were so helpful and kind. Birders everywhere - eagles osprey and more. Kudos to Alabama for having such a lovely park.

Great campground. We stayed in Primitive camping Tent area, very nice, free showers, wonderful bike trails. But...when a group of campers come in at 11p in the spot next to you and party until 2a, not so nice. People..please remember to use your inside voices in a tent area during quiet time.

We love how clean and nice the trails are. Lots of shaded areas and plenty of places to take a seat and rest. Very dog friendly. Lots of runs ans bike riders as well. Can't wait to go back and check out the cabins.
