The location of Meaher State Park is great for site seeing around the Mobile Bay area. The park is clean and we'll maintained. The staff is great. We especially enjoyed visiting with Anna. Right across the street is 5 Rivers Delta Environmental Center. It was well worth the visit.

I know they're still recovering from hurricane Nate but they should tell you at the gate that even though the fishing pier is closed that you can't fish at the boat launch. The attendants don't seem to care too much what goes on after dark. They never even make rounds. We had to listen to some lady and I use that term loosely telling someone to shut the f___ up. Some guy came in and just sat in his car all night. Made us a little nervous. Got up around 6 this morning and went to the one and only bath house only to find no toilet paper in the men's room. I don't know about any other time but right now if you can camp anywhere else you probably should.
