I was disappointed in the limited things for older kids to do. If they add a basket ball court or even a soccer field this would go a long way. I was so disappoint in the Japanese Garden. There was nothing to see but grown up weeds. I was so looking forward to seeing a beautiful lush garden. The only thing going for it was the Art Museum and the tennis court for older kids and adults.

Updated park with new and accessible playground. Great for running and riding bikes. Awesome for picnics and family outings. Enough greenery to satisfy the masses!!!

We used to have our family reunion here every year. This will be the very last time. The ice cream man is usually stopped by us and so loud we usually have to yell to hear each other. We just had our reunion recently and someone was playing obnoxiously loud explicit lyrics on their radio, in front of our family's kids and all other kids on the playground. I called the parks and recreation line but nobody ever returned my phone call. So after several hours I called the police. They never did anything either except pass by, then they left, without telling anyone anything. I realize it's free to use, but ignoring problems isn't good business.

The park has gone down. There is only one playground. There used to be boats, a concession stand, and play equipment all over the park. The water is so gross. The grass at the shore is shoddy. It's the main park in Mobile. It should be in better shape.
