I think it’s in the h&m hiring process to make sure they hire the rudest associates as possible. any location i go to the people are always so rude and the place is always a mess. I went to the fitting room to try on clothes and the girl like huffed when she saw how many items i had (i had six) and then when i finished i made sure to put everything back in the right way (i also work in retail so i put them in the correct sizing order) and then when i went to the register the girl didn’t even look at me.

Purchased $150 gift card for my son for Christmas.  We drove 129 miles to the Asheville location where the card was purchased to spend the card. After almost an hour and a half of trying things on and wandering through the store we were ready to check out. It was not until the transaction was almost completed that the cashier notified me they could not take gift cards today. It was the day after Christmas.  Wasted almost 5 hours of my day between Transit and trying on items that we alternately could not purchase. A little notification would have been stellar customer service. But I expect nothing less from a manager who tells me to contact corporate basically it's not her fault .

H&M has always been a hit or miss for me, but overall they have affordable products and several lovely things mixed in with the....let's just call them 'trendy'. The staff is generally helpful and very kind; some of the sweetest individuals in customer service I've met, truthfully. The music can be deafening, (typical of this  chain) but the dressing rooms are well lit and kept clean. The sales floor is always abundantly stocked. Will certainly continue to shop here when in the Asheville area.
