I was pleasantly surprised by the Hampton inn! When I had to change my reservation of a different hotel situated downtown because one member of my party demanded a hotel with breakfast, I assumed it would be a bit crappy, since it was so very affordable, but also claimed to offer breakfast and to that something a bit more than just "continental". Well they sure delivered!! The rooms are clean and nice, AC works like a charm, bathroom is clean and functional, and the breakfast is wonderful! They make an amazing cheese/ham/veg-omelette here. Loyola is very nice and almost seems a bit upper class judging by the villas down the street toward the lake, felt very safe walking around. All this at such a low price, can definitely recommend!

Very good, Emily at the front desk was extra helpful to my husband & I to navigate the city via the subway system. We love Chicago. Room was very clean. Staff very accommodating. Will stay again. Loved the breakfast with it many choices as well.

The hotel is wonderful. It's clean, convenient, and well staffed. The employees are very professional and extremely helpful. The location is very convenient to many areas. The neighborhood is nice and clean with so many interesting historic landmarks close by. The prices are affordable and the rooms are spacious and seem very new. I would gladly stay at this location any time I was in town again.

This place had been open ~9 months. It's very clean and the staff are friendly. It has a rooftop terrace, but it wasn't open at the time of our stay. The beds are comfortable. We use the L to get from O'Hare to the hotel. It's ~1.5 hrs to go from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the station. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Hartigan Beach Park is just a block away. If you have kids and need let them burn some energy, this would be a good place to go.

Fantastic hotel, short train ride to Wrigley for the game. Very clean and new, nice helpful staff. Violet was very helpful. Rooms were clean as well. Nice location with a few restaurants around it as well.
