Handmade opened in the beautiful Hudson Valley village of New Paltz in November of 1974 as "The Handmade Craft Store".
When Handmade’s doors first opened in 1974 we were one of the only stores in town. That meant we had to offer a little bit of everything for everyone. We still work very hard to have a wide range of product lines that appeal to every shopper that comes through our doors. Handmade has Toys, Bath Items, Books, Jewelry, Wind chimes, Handmade Pottery, Woman's Clothing and Accessories, House wares, Music, Greeting Cards, Baby Gifts and Clothing, Garden Items, Fine Glassware, Silly Gifts, Men's Gifts, Candles, and our famous Free Gift-wrapping!
