Story

Harms Labs began with Steve and Jeanne Harms in Fort Collins. Steve started building speakers using a ping-pong table as a workbench in his dorm at CSU. He built a variety of speakers and sold them to friends and bars around Fort Collins. Soon he began to see demand for turntables, cassette decks, reel-to-reels, and amplifiers.

The business quickly evolved into a full-service audio/video store. Unfortunately nature stepped in with the '97 flood and destroyed his building and stock. He downsized his operation to a smaller and in many ways more efficient entity, building on his growing reputation in Northern Colorado. He has now recently expanded again to a new retail location in Old Town Square, Fort Collins. Harms Labs still maintains the service standards set decades ago by Steve Harms.
