Heard a lot of good things about this place and it was recommended to me by a friend who lives in the area. I went with my boyfriend for brunch around 11am on a Monday and was not disappointed! There are a lot of breakfast options. The service was fantastic. Our server was very nice and took good care of us, providing us with good recommendations as well. Plates were large so we both had food leftover. It was delicious!

If the review was based solely on the food, location and atmosphere this would be a 5 star review. We have been here 6 or 7 times over the past couple years and every single time we get the same server and honestly he ruins the experience. His service is not suitable for an upscale restaurant that is inspired and interesting. I really want to love this place, maybe I just need to order to go, to enjoy the food?

Absolutely the best food and well proportioned also, you will not be able to finish your food! Service is great also! This place stays busy, but it is so worth the wait!! I would definitely come back again in the future... This was my first time here, but I was so impressed with the food!

It was an amazing gem of a breakfast spot. I was delighted and surprised by the size of the plates.. the food was on point, and the service was amazing.  Later that day I recommended it to another out of town guest! I'll come back next visit to San Diego!

Breakfast review: I had heard great things about this place so I was excited to go, but I have to say only if you like potatoes, long wait times, and shock and aw this place is for you. I got the eggs Benedict. The portions are ridiculously large, but are comprised mostly of potatoes, topped with a full sprig of rosemary and some crunchy pasta thing which was actually my favorite part. When you get to the core of the dish is it pretty good, but there are so many restaurants in Hillcrest where you can find equally delicious food. If you do go, I recommend beating the rush and going early morning on a weekday.
