Best bars on town. Has outdoor bar with heat lamos open most of the year. Can smoke outside. Food great staff awsome!

I am Colombian and yesterday I went to the Havana bar in New Hope with an American friend and I was not allowed to enter the place because I did not have my passport with me or any document that would let them know that I was legal in this country, I want to clarify that I show my Colombian identification. Now I wonder if they are an immigration agent? That is discrimination for being Latina

I would love to know what right Havana management has to require immigration status of its potential clients.  As far as I know they have every right to check age, but last night the Havana management decided it was going to deny a friend of mine who didn't bring her passport with her and couldn't prove her visa status.  When were restaurant proprietors deputized as ICE and when did New Hope become a border crossing?  They weren't, and this restaurant has gone beyond the pale with its offensive treatment of international visitors.  I am so disappointed in the people that run this restaurant as well as the other folks waiting in line that did nothing to challenge this while it was happening.  Is this what we want the experience of tourists to be when they come to our country?

Our waiter was nice,  but the food was just ok. Fajitas were odd, with a very sweet sauce. Would not recommend.   There was a band coming on, and we had to listen to a very long sound check (over an hour, during our entire meal). Very noisy, and then they apparently locked us in. We weren't told we had to exit through the little takeout area. We struggled at the main entrance,  trying the door, then staff lazily told us it's locked. Had to ask how to get out.

All roads lead to Havana! Great food and drinks. The food is a tad expensive but worth it. Nightlife is great here. The have an excellent outdoor patio bar that’s open all year round.
