Three course restaurant week menu with wine paring was excellent and great value. The wine perfectly complemented each dish. Food came out quickly and server/bartender was very friendly. Really enjoyed the decor and ambiance as well. Can't wait to go back again.

Award winning Wine Spectator wine list, incredible tapas style small plates, and an incredibly professional and knowledgeable staff. Not to mention breathtaking dining views. They also have a blind tasting happy hour every Tuesday for novice all the way to professional. Stopping in Nektar is a must.

My review is for the take-out, so I don't feel entirely comfortable reviewing the food (my mom absolutely loved the salmon and foie bites though), but it was a little frustrating to actually get the food. 

My mom has a broken leg which also required a knee replacement, and we determined it was too challenging for her to physically get into the wine bar. (Accessibility in New Hope =. known challenge, so this isn't particularly unique to Nektar.) I tried calling to see if they do takeout, but got no answer. Was walking my dog so I walked 15 minutes to the door, walked in (around 4 pm Friday) and the two staff standing at the counter confirmed that the location does takeout. Great. Two hours later, when we were ready to order, I called 7 times trying to get someone to pick up. No one answered and I haven't gotten any calls back.

Fortunately, my dad was willing to drive the ten minutes each way and wait in the restaurant for the $140 order to be prepared. 

We persevered because my brother recommended the place and the food was solid. But I really wish that actually getting it/interacting with the staff was a better experience. I can't imagine that we were the only ones to ever be interested in takeout. If I lived here and wanted a date night in, it'd be amazing to buy a bottle of wine and a spread of cold dishes (their charcuterie and cheese options seem amazing), so it doesn't seem unreasonable to try to order takeout from here.

Loved the show Late Night Catechism Til Death do we part. Laughing til you cried funny. Actress playing Sister is outstanding. A fun night that you'll be thankful for.

Great bar with great food. Excellent beer and whiskey selections. Dining section opens up during summer allowing for excellent view of canal and breeze during summer months
