Great experience. The really small car I rented had more road noise than I wanted for a long trip, so they let me come back and swap it out for a bigger car, no charge and just took a few minutes. Not being open Saturday is a bummer for some, but you just have to plan around it. 
The only other real car rental place in town is Enterprise, but I will never use them or the rental companies again because of their hail damage scam. I returned a black car and they said they saw microscopic sized irregularities on the top of the car and claimed they were from. There wasn't any hail. Anyway, the girl said it would only be $100-$200 to fix. Then I get a bill from in the mail for $2,200. Suddenly, like a greedy cancer they claimed the damage spread to the hood, back hatch and all doors. Luckily I took detailed pics. There wasn't even a process to challenge their claims. So they started hounding me for the $2,200 even after I sent the detailed pics proving them wrong. I got it off my credit, and I'll never ever pay it. I later contacted the body shop that wrote the estimate, and when I inquired about the car actually being repaired, they hung up on me. There's your scam, folks. Of course they never planned to fix it. The car looks brand new and other renters wouldn't have a clue there was "hail damage" to the car. I read there's a class action going on now, so that's great.

Car broke down Friday night no big deal gets in the shop have family in neighboring town. Need a car on Saturday and calling the emergency number on the door they said they are closed sorry bye. Total crap!

As for me and my company, from now until eternity we will use any company except Hertz and other vehicle rental companies owned by the Hertz conglomerate. 

The idiocy and asinine policy of the Father/Son Hertz Agency in Hays, Kansas is to run all outstanding paperwork through the shredder on the last day of the month.

On 31 August 2015, they shredded everything I had provided to them for a vehicle rental that was not to take place until 11 September. 

I then had to provide everything again, and we had to make an unnecessary second trip to Hays to physically present the credit card and driver’s license that was used for the transaction.

All of this unnecessary aggravation was created at the time my wife was preparing for open heart surgery and a rental car was needed to transport her to Kansas City for the operation.

Hertz corporate headquarters wasn't interested in my bad experience with their Hays agents, but responded in great detail in justification of double charges against my credit card.

Conquest is only one small company, but I have a loud voice and plenty of time to circulate my unbelievable experience with Hertz to the hundreds of individuals and companies with whom I conduct business worldwide.
