I walked in to rent a car with no reservation. I was attended fast and professionally by Alex. I scheduled the pick up the day after with Ramon and dropped it with Ramon. Both guys were friendly, fast, efficient, knowledgeable and very helpful. I had absolutely no problem. I was given a nice new car, very low on gas. The only thing is that the first guy would say a 2nd driver is mandatory on the rental contract, while the 2nd guy said it was not. Also, the drop off after the office closes at 6PM results into a charge of 125$. But it is understandable since the garage does not belong to Hertz, better indication of the office would be helpful, we almost passed it.
Alex made me a great price I could not even dream for a car in Miami. I was very happy with this Hertz location services. Will definitely come back or recommend. I don't understand people who would complain about the toll pass bill they receive later. Read the signs on the highway, people!

Terrible experience.  Turned up to collect a car from a self-service Hertz location on 237 20th street to find out it had closed and directed me to this store.  When I arrived the queue was long with one frustrated attendent serving.  There were staff members behind the counter who thought it ok to allow customers to queue for over an hour to then be told that they had to play a "waiting game" as there were no cars available, regardless of whether you had a booking or prepaid.
I'd advise going to another car hire location in Miami, this level of incompetence almost had me missing a flight later that day.

This place is garbage. Reservation was made a week ago and was told there is a 3 hour wait for cars. Attendant is very rude. Do not come here if you value your sanity. Complete waste of time and money.

Excellent service once we reached the rental office. A very good experience. My only issue was related to the free shuttle that I signed up for (this location was clearly identified as a free shuttle location) from the cruise ship terminal to their office. I was expecting a phone call or email at my appointment time, to give me instructions on catching the shuttle. It was hard to find a phone number to call them, after we waited and waited and waited for this contact that never came. We found a phone number, called the office, and were put on hold - never got taken off hold for 20 or 30 minutes. We finally gave up and called an Uber. The Hertz office is hard to see from the street, so the Uber driver dropped us off close to the address given, and we roamed around with all our luggage, trying to find Hertz. I reported the shuttle mishap to the nice agent, but I doubt the error got corrected. The agent was surprised that his location was identified as having this free shuttle service.

Seriously? One employee working during spring break week in south beach? I'm sitting here now while a friend picks up his rental- there are literally 15 people waiting on the ONE employee. Yeahhhh, this won't happen again. Avis it is for the next rental.
