Unbelievable poor service. Car was supposed to be at Crystal Lake for pickup. They called in the morning and said it would be late. I agreed to come at 9am instead. I come later to provide some breathing room and no car at the location, and no one has a clue. Instead I go to Elgin (where it was coming from) to pick it up. Still not ready and the staff and manager could really care less. I am obviously upset dealing with the multiple lies. Instead of apologizing, I am told they are a 5 Star rated facility and all the problems are corporate.... Not hers. To make matters worse, I am told "Imagine all the other people who booked weeks ago.. You booked yesterday and making everything worse". It is easy to believe you provide high quality service when you are not responsible for anything. If you had no cars, say so and I would have found alternative choices. When the sales staff finally got around to me, he starts writing up a new manual contract, despite me having the reservation and contract rates booked online. He has no idea why he is doing it, except that his manager (Ms 5 Star) told him too. Then he asks me to sign, and says he will fill in the rest later. Really? Ms Manager finally returns and berates the employee and eventually gives me the keys to a dirty Hyundai that was several levels less than what I booked (and does not match the paperwork). I told her this, and she says that is their system and I would not understand. It also had a service light on due to low tire pressure that I had to take care of. Car was dropped off several days later in front of the store, and now I am waiting for them to post the receipt and charge 1 week later. I have called, and no one knows what is going on. I travel with Hertz a lot, and Presidents Circle with them due to my loyalty. Dealing with this very poorly run location really questions my decision to stay with this chain.

Worst place to rent. Staff are not efficient. Shortage of staff and very poor service. I would not go here. Hertz Corporate has to take a look at this how this is run. It spoils Hertz's name. My car was returned and they did not have the idea that it was returned, and they rented it to another person without even completing the transaction. I personally went there and still nothing has been done for more than a day after the car was returned. i have returned the car on 9/27/2017 night and it has not been closed. Very Poor Service. I don't blame them, but train them properly and also have enough people to handle.

We've had to use them twice this year. They have fantastic customer service! I highly recommend them.

Ten days and waiting for them to close out my contract. I'm now getting automated calls from higher up looking for the car and wanting to know why I haven't returned it. Every time I call the manager has "just stepped out" and when I finally (accidentally) get her on the line, she swears a blue streak she'll get right on it. The "receipt" she sent me to prove it was closed wasn't really a receipt at, per the automated "where's our car" calls. Never again. Never again this location or anything even moderately connected with Hertz. I would give them zero stars, but they won't even let me post a comment without given them one.

I called a day that the branch manger was not there (sorry can't remember how to spell her name) and it seemed that no one could help with my questions or advise me of what needed to be done. And to be honest I believe the person covering Bianca didn't want to help. She acted as if I was bothering her. Don't let her back.
