While the basic-looking exterior isn't particularly inviting, what a lovely surprise the interiors provide. These cottages are charming, cozy, very homey and comfortable, with a kitchenette that is well-stocked with all the basic for creating simple meals. My husband and I stay here often to visit family in the area, and it's wonderful to have such a comfortable, quiet place to retreat when the grandkids have worn us out. Everything works perfectly and seems to be high quality: heating, hot showers, comfortable beds, ample lighting. I only have one tiny quibble: there is no place to hang or store clothes, so you have to live out of your suitcase, but everything else is so perfect, who really cares? (Not me).

The interior of the apartment is beautiful, extremely well maintained. The kitchen is well furnished, and the view out the front door is absolutely breathtaking. Grab a cup of coffee, your favorite book, and settle in for a wonderful, cozy weekend. I will absolutely be back!!

At the very last minute, we were inspired to take a quick weekend getaway. The cottages were beautiful - simple, but with everything you need for that weekend getaway. Mountain Marvel was impeccably designed and decorated. With the drive being so close to Westcliffe and Silvercliffe, we were able to enjoy some wonderful local eateries. We cannot wait to go back!

Really enjoyed our stay in 3B, knack for nature but didn't like the shared wall with 3A (thin walls, could easily hear neighbor stomp on hardwood floor, would be ok for families). Will definitely book a stand alone cottage, Mountain Marvel, next time. Really liked the rosemary mint products. If you're a major germaphobe, keep in mind - the bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion stay in the cottage thus are shared and are not hotel sized bottles that are tossed after one use. If you plan to cook in the cottage, consider bringing your own dishwashing sponge and kitchen gloves since you'll have to hand wash everything. Dish soap is provided but a new sponge is not. The kitchenette was nicely stocked with cooking utensils, spices, and coffee and tea. Overall, it was cozy, beautifully designed and modernized, and pet friendly. Pick the side of the bed that is next to the strategically placed window for a direct view of the stars at night.

Relaxing and Beautiful. I really enjoyed our stay at the cottages. We stayed in the Mountain Marvel with beautiful views and the STARS!! Oh my, the stars were so vivid and amazing. I told my husband it was like they were in HD. I wish we would have stayed longer because being it was labor day weekend, we had the privacy we wanted and the price we needed. I will definitely be back.
