I can't really even give this place one star. We stayed for 3 nights over the Christmas holidays. The first night, the pillow cases had clearly not been washed after the previous occupant, and the thermostat didn't work; stayed in the high 70s all night. Worst of all, the next morning when I went to shower, turned on the water and the entire faucet blew off the wall; glad I wasn't yet in the shower or would have been injured. They then moved us to another room...re-pack and then unpack in the new room. There was no wifi and thermostat worked the first night in this room. Third day, no hot water to take a shower. The only saving grace of this place was Heather in the front office -- she was so kind but unfortunately couldn't do anything about the condition of the rooms.

First off, this is owned by a private company, not the Army. Therefore, you aren't obligated to stay in this hotel. The only perks for this are: 1) free laundry 2) free continental breakfast 3) free wifi that doesn't work most of the time 4) being on base 5) cheap, around $61. Second, this place was built like half a century ago. Everything is outdated and you will have a better time staying at the barracks. Third, the room smelled.

I've been in Motel 6 is that are better. This is on a military base so it won't leave military Independence could stay here anyways. This is an old barracks Army building. There are four of them 3 to 2 stories with no elevators. I'm TDY this place was within the amount allowed for a hotel room. At least I'm not flipping the bill. Has much money does the military spend you would think the barracks could be a little nicer.

Tear this hotel down!!!! Hazard! I can't believe this hotel is even operating; they were previously old dorms!! Disgrace to military soldiers & families! The staff are all top notch people, they deserve to work in a nice facility! This hotel is disgusting, super old, smelly rooms, and does not have any assistance for elderly whom have to climb stairs! Ridiculous! I'm thankful the staff canceled my reservation so that my family did not have to stay. I hope to hear of its demolishment soon!!!

Let me start off by saying that my experience was absolutely terrible! We stayed at a Fort Drum IHG for 2 weeks and it was great. We clear housing and since the steam cleaners came, we decided to stay in a hotel overnight. I liked the proximity of the hotel to all of the errands I had to run in the morning. At first, wasn't too happy that I requested weeks ago online to stay in the main building because we had a lot of bags (I'm pregnant, have a 1 year old and a mother who has a bad shoulder) so toting bags up stairs wasn't ideal. We get put in other building with no elevator, on the second floor- I get told the entire hotel is sold out. Again, wasn't happy but we managed to make it work. Our hallway smelled like urine but believe it or not, that wasn't the deal breaker. We all go to sleep around 10:30-11pm and get awoken around 4:00am by what sounds like a large garbage truck near the window. I ignore it but it doesn't go away. Finally, I go to the window and nothing is outside- it's the gusts of window going through the window unit sounding like a tornado is right on top of it. I video recorded the loud, constant noise. Then I hear very loud slams of doors which I think are my neighbors- nope! It's the stairwell next to me and the doors to it are slamming due to the wind. I recorded that loud noise as well. Pretty sure all of my neighbors in this sold out hotel are awake and will probably complain too since the building is shaking at times. Needless to say, I'm extremely pissed and I will NEVER stay at this Fort Carson IHG again. It was the worst experience that could have happened! So I'm writing this review at 5:30am- the entire room is awake because of this. Y'all need to demolish these buildings and start all over in my opinion!
