His Place Resort is a great place. Family or group oriented, Located on the Beautiful White River in Baxter County, Arkansas known for great Trout Fishing. Canoe, Kayak, and Johnny Fishing Boats avalible. Tackle and bait store on site.

Rustic in a good way. Pleasant atmosphere. Easy access to the water and boats are available to rent. Included in the cabins were pots, pans, utensils, bath towels, linens and pillows.

We elected to wade on this trip and the fishing in the immediate area of the cabins and the adjoining RV Park gave us good results. I was able to catch (and release) two good sized brown trout as well as several rainbow trout.

One thing worth mentioning - I brought my own soft bait with me and I was glad I did. I caught several fish with the recommended tackle from the bait shop on site, but things slowed down before long. After switching to my soft bait I was catching way more fish than the other guys in my group. And because the bait shop didn't carry a variety of soft bait I had to share my bait with the other guys.

Nice people to rent a boat from. Only complaint is motors are a little undersized for high water.

I've stayed at five different places to fish for trout in the White River, and this is by far the most wonderful. The owners think of everything to make your stay perfect. The guides are professional and friendly; the surroundings are gorgeous. And the trout are plentiful!
