Worst experience at a bar in my life! The staff here collectively has the maturity of a 4 year old and they all have lengthy criminal histories. If they aren’t attacking their customers, they’re allowing crack dealers to sell in the bar. They are incredibly racist, I can’t write here all the things the bar staff said in my presence. Their behavior online is atrocious and they’ve been banned from fb numerous times for attacking customers for leaving critical reviews. They spend all their time working to discredit people who’ve left honest reviews instead of serving the customers in their bar. You simply can’t run a business like that. There are so many better places to go than here. Don’t come here, you will absolutely regret it. And whatever you do, DO NOT eat the food here!

This is a no frills bar, plain and simple. It's clean, there are pool tables, and the prices are good. 

To the other reviewer re: food, you have the wrong place. This bar is not able to sell food per their license - occasionally they have free food they put out for patrons. Maybe you have confused this with its sister spot, the HobNob drive in, which has amazing burgers (and great frozen fried food)

So many great bartenders under one roof! Tavern 57 is the local bar  off the beaten tourist path of downtown Sarasota and doesn't have the prices of downtown Sarasota  either! There are a few pool tables and dart boards with free pool on some nights.

Super friendly and fun atmosphere.  The bartenders were really nice! The only down side is smelling like an ashtray when you leave! This place would benefit GREATLY by putting a good quality air filtration system in.
