Story

The Homestead has been around for over 30 years but for 7 of those years it was leased out and the food quality suffered. The original owner, Sumi Martinez, is back and it has been restored to its former glory.

Good place. Food is typical, not bad but nothing special. Service is fine. No complaints overall. However the food is a dime a dozen, and the restaurant is a little boring. But still, overall a good place.

Sandra was our server this evening, first time here for me. Absolutely LOVED it! Ordered the turkey dinner, was the best I've ever had eating out. Huge portions, complimentary pie. Friendly and attentive, absolute must try this place :-D

Good American dining options... service is usually good... the food is a hit or miss for me but I'm not really into classic American fair... the breakfast burrito with the chicken friend steak was the best thing I've had so far... and it brought out 9 time so it was crisp and not soggy...

Food was good as well as service. Only problem I have is with their shady chef. My daughter's food wasn't cooked fully (pork chops).The waitress took it back. 20 minutes later my daughter is still without food. We stated that after all this time we should get it free. The waitress was understanding and went to deal with it. We found out that the chef threw the food out and that's why it was not charged on the check. This wasn't what we asked for, and by this time we were ready to leave. Whatever chef was working at this time doesn't like any criticism to his work, it seems.

I enjoyed eating breakfast here, however, it was pretty chilly inside the restuaraunt. The chicken and waffles portions are huge! I'm not sure how big the other entrees are, but I definitely got my moneys worth. I'm pretty picky about customer service and I will say that our waitress was very professional and polite. I don't eat here often, but I would recommend for people in the area to try it.
