I never even made it in here because the lady on the phone was so incredibly rude. I was in Tacoma on an errand with some friends. We searched Google for highly rated restaurants. This was one of the closest options and being from Florida, it has been a long time since having southern comfort food. When I initially drove past(was om the opposite side of the road), I noticed their open sign was not on. I was also confused about where to park as I was not familiar with the area. I called to confirm they were open(as listed online) and to ask where to park. The lady who answered was so rude that I hung up and we went elsewhere. If there phone service was that bad, then I cant even imagine how bad their service is in the restaurant.

Great comfortable, homely joint. Service was great we talked to everyone like it was a family meal. Food was fast (keep in mind it's made when you order) and great tasting with it filling up the plate.( about 6 inches high) and food came out sizzling." SOUL FOOD MEDLEY." I'll yell from a mountain top. Second time here and we're be back again and will bring more ppl to enjoy this.

We had the ribs, chicken, chicken strips, Mac n cheese, bean n rice, yams, mixed veggies, corn bread and sweet tea and it ALL was AMAZING. First thing that's made me miss the south since leaving it a decade ago. Felt right at home and well looked after. Are just passing through and plan to go again in a couple days on our way home!

I go to the post office next door a lot and could smell the tastiness every time. The first time I went there it was middle of the day. The owners are really nice and make you feel welcome. I got the pulled pork with some sides and it was so good. After that I could not get it off my mind so I went back. This time i got the large soul food medley. I never really had soul food before so I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed at all huge pieces cooked excellent. This place is most definitely worth the try. Plus how many places can you actually order koolaid. That too was good. If your in the area try it out.

I came in and ordered the Cajun catfish, mac & cheese, candied yams, green, & corn bread! The service was fast. And the Mac & cheese, and yams had great flavor however, also the corn bread was really hard like it’s been sitting for awhile and after already eating some of my catfish i noticed it was under cooked ... I am not happy about this at all because i feel like anyone who spends their money on food should get their money's worth & also well cooked food. Probably won't be returning. 3 stars because the food had flavor! Will be calling them in the morning regarding the under cooked fish, also if i get sick further action will be taken.
