Low ball offer, it was like selling something to a pawn shop. Homevestors claimed "We rehab all of our houses, this one does not have a garage. Before we sell your property we would need to build a garage and need to leave room in the budget for the expenses." Property was sold for $25K above market value when Homevestors resold the property. (faked a down payment like a used car dealer does ?) Garage was never built, Homevestors sure lined their own pockets on that lie. When you accept an offer you are made to sign a commitment to sell form that calls for a big cancellation fee if you back out. A couple days after signing this form when closing date was not for another 6 weeks down the road a man in a truck showed up in our driveway "to start work" when we were at the store and our 9th grade son was at home alone. The contractor was angry that we still lived there and told our child "no, you need to move out today, 6 weeks was too long to wait." I really wish I would have canceled when that happened, but Homevestors was very fast to point to the cancellation fee if I did. Very non-professional dealings. I would only reccomend these guys in an emergency situation, any real estate agent can usually do you better than Homevestors ever will.
