We stopped last night for an after dinner drink and wound up spending the evening. To be honest, I prefer the usual background music to the karaoke, but the staff is what makes this place. Aaron and Kenny behind the bar were funny, friendly, and the service was excellent. Highlight of the evening was an amazing tour of the venue given by Leah, a charming young woman who is clearly both knowledgeable about and proud of where she works. She did a magnificent job of explaining the history of the HOB as well as many things about the building that we never would have seen otherwise. The HOB is fun when it’s busy and rocks, but don’t pass it up on a cold quiet night. It’s a very different, but very cool experience.

Our fist visit....We had a totally amazing experience at the House of Blues this evening. We began with a dinner reservation. Our server was so great and on task. The Manager Wendy went out of her way to make us feel special. Then it was on to the Foundations room to relax before the show the Manager there was super accommodating as well, but his name excapes me. Finally we moved on to the concert venue to enjoy the Holiday Hangover. We will definitely be repeat guests.

Great venue! Many bars including the general admission area, upstairs balcony that also has assigned seating for better views, and another bar connected to the concert venue where the restaurant is ! I've visited here for concerts, beer tastings, and even a company party. Every time the venue doesn't disappoint. Clean bathrooms, efficient staff, and great history and environment!

Bought meet and greet tickets to a concert last month. Two weeks prior to the show the venue sent emails explaining that the early entry doors will open at 5pm and stressed punctuation. The meet and greet was cancelled due to the weather which is very understandable. House of Blues staff told us that we would still receive early entry. There were approximately 80 people in the early entry line. We waited outside in 15° weather with a negative wind chill just short of two hours. They refused to let us in the building although we were freezing. The staff continued to come outside laughing at us and repeatedly telling us that we were not getting inside the building until 7pm. They insisted that there was not enough room in the building to let us in which was an absolute lie. They opened the doors at 6:45 and the artists did an amazing job but I will definitely avoid any other shows at the House of Blues.

This was our 4th time there. 1 time in Myrtle Beach, the other three were in Cleveland. Every time we are there the place is dirty, OBVIOUSLY I realize things will be messed up throughout the evening, however, the bathrooms were atrocious from a half hour after opening until close! They place a woman in there handing you paper towels and expecting a tip but she cannot even sweep the floor to get all of the other paper towels, toilet paper Etc off the floor, little own wipe off the toilet seats or refill toilet paper! We upgraded our tickets and wound up paying $50 a piece for so-called VIP seats that we could not even see the stage from. I could see better from the floor in the standing room only pit. The only reason we did it is to be able to sit down and because one of our people could not see on the floor because they are too short. It was a tribute band, not even for an actual National Act. They do not take the price off of your original ticket when you upgrade which I feel is ridiculous. The seats were the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in in my life! Not to mention they charge $9.50 a piece for a tall canned beer. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!
