Gosh, do you remember the old Miller library? Wide, spacious. Makes Central Branch look small and cramped.

One word. Changing tables! There are NO changing tables in the family restrooms off the children's area and the changing table in the ladies room doesn't have a working buckle. I'm lucky my kid didn't go flying.

We visited this library for a workshop by UMD Master Gardeners and was surprised to find that they offer library cards for anyone who works or lives in Maryland, rather than just Howard County.  Very impressed that this system is so inclusive!

The staff are very nice. The environment is calming. One problem with this library is study rooms. It is very hard to find a place to do your work in this library. Study rooms are always taken. There are limated amount of desks to study in, especially upstairs.

My advice for this problem is that you go to the library as soon as it opens. For example, if you are going to the library on Saturday and it opens at 10, go to the library at 10 sharp or somewhere near 10 sharp. That way, you can get a study room earlier.

On a whole, this library is great!!!

Large, clean, fully equipped and updated facility. Very nice private rooms. Visited this Library for an audition. I could exit out on the second floor into a foyer that leads to a patio to practice my lines.
