This was a nice place to spend a few nights. The location is peaceful and the grounds are lovely. There is a small concert venue on-site and you can eavesdrop easily! The resort and parking fees are a bit off-putting, but common for the area. The only negative was that we were charged for drinks that we did not have. We questioned the charges immediately and were referred to someone else. Of course, we had to leave a message. We did not receive a follow-up call or a credit.

Wonderful hotel. Our only issue is there nowhere to get an after dinner drink, except the lounge. If there is live music, forget it. Not enough seating and too loud for a regular conversation.  They will charge you the entrance fee before you find all this out.

Our one-night stay at Humphreys resort was truly fantastic. The rooms were nice and clean, the pool area very much like a resort with pool-side bar and food service (open late too) and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay in San Diego without breaking the bank. We'll be back for sure!

Clean room, the king size bed is comfortable, pillows could be better. There's a big pool and jacuzzi until 11PM. Parking appears to have a separate fee per night. Rooms may have a view of yachts. The area is peaceful, different from the usual hotels in the downtown area.

Humphreys Half Moon is a boat lovers dream on Shelter Island Marina. It is surrounded by views of the harbor and filled with sailboats and yachts . Included in the daily resort fee is hour bike rentals in the harbor area. There is also a concert venue and nightclub with a $4 wine and beer happy hour. The Brigantine restaurant is also within walking distance serving task items such as Oyster Rockefeller and grilled octopus.
