Stayed here for 3 nights and the place was updated, rooms were clean, and the price was unbeatable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One downside was the train station stop right in front of the base, which proved to be noisy at night. That said, I would highly recommend this place as it is a great value for the money.

Room was excellent...clean and adequate for my needs. The front desk was equally as superb...good work with the decorations. However, could not give 5 stars because I would love to see more diverse cultures with the front desk representatives...each of my several visits has always been of the same ethnicity...Not good for the promotion of equality, especially at this time in age. Nevertheless, my stay at the lodge has always been accompanied with excellent attitude in service, but our diverse cultures should not loose sight of the optics as to what our beautiful country represent to the world...Freedom, Love, Diversity, and Hope amongst several other ideals!

My husband and I were  in San Diego for the navy retirement of our son. We were so pleased with the room  the amenities,  the cleanliness of the lodge and the room. The breakfast are was to notch and so clean. Hope that we can stay there again. Very pleased.  The desk personnel was so friendly  and courteous.  We enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Keep up the good  work!!

The new renovations to the lobby are amazing, the added snack area is great. The upgraded rooms are comfortable and the showers are perfect. This was a great place to stay and I'm definitely coming back.

The service has been very nice here. The front desk clerks have been very sweet and accommodating for my home husband and I. The rooms here are very nice. For families needing a place to stay awhile - they have a small kitchen equipped with pots and pans and other remedies. The lodge is very clean and kept up.
