Small beach with roped swimming area for families and easy access for kayak launching. Boat ramps, pinic area, restrooms,  seasonal snack bar. There is a great playground for the kids overlooking the river and the Virginia War Museum and Rose gardens are wonderful places to visit also.  Plenty of parking too! A great place to spend the day, tucked away on the James River!

We stopped here to stretch our legs during a trip to Nags Head and it was fantastic my son really enjoyed it too.

Nice park off the James River. Big open field great for frisbee with the dogs. Well maintained and not to busy.
