This is one of the reasons we love coming to Boise for a quick weekend getaway. This hidden gem is fantastic. Beautiful grounds, plants, and landscape. Our 2 & 4 year old loved running around each distinct section to find something new and loved the little playhouses. A must do if the weather is nice out.

Fantastic place to take your kids in December. We always go as a Christmas tradition. Lights a are very well set up. They also have a train station with a small scale Village th at the train runs around. Make sure to look for the cross at Table Rock which oversees the lights from the north eastern Horizon. The lights also give a chance for Idaho inmates to do something constructive over Christmas as they are the ones that set them up and take them down afterward.

The botanical gardens are always a treat to walk through, whether it be spring, summer, fall, or winter. They do a great job of making each season unique, and work to make sure each visit has something new even when the plants are dormant. There is plenty to see, and the paths are friendly to all ages. I highly recommend seeing each season.

Had a really nice girls night out walking through Winter Aglow. It is a little pricey just for a walk around a garden and I wouldn't be able to afford to take my family but it was beautiful. Caldwell lights are pretty impressive too, and they are free. Still, I give it 4 stars because I had a good time.

My first trip to the Idaho Botanical Garden holiday light show called Winter Garden Glow. Really great light displays. Cost was a bit more than I would have liked to pay. Paid much less at the St. Louis Garden Winter Glow and it was MUCH larger. Only negative I care to discuss is the parking...I prefer to back into parking spots, especially when I know it will be dark when I leave and therefore harder to back out of a parking spot, and when I tried to back into a parking spot one of their 'parking police' came over and told me I had to pull my vehicle in frontwards because it is Garden policy. I explained my reason for backing in and the lady looked at me as if I was from outer space and told me it didn't matter what I thought and that I had to pull my vehicle in correctly or leave. Very stupid policy, very poor parking assistant relations.
