The entire staff was on top of everything. Despite the overwhelming amount of people trying to check in at all hours, people requesting towels and extra bed sheets, not once did I hear complaining or see any attitude from any of the staff. The food staff did their best to keep up with the multiple thermos of coffee and miscellaneous breakfast requests. As far as the cleaning crew goes, as I walked by many times keeping a toddler busy, I noticed they were actually cleaning and not cutting corners unlike other hotels I have been in. If there were any complaining it would be the guest that aren't happy to be standing in line waiting to check in behind large groups with their large group or when the coffee ran out not knowing that as soon as a staff member put two pots out they were emptied before she could return with 4 more. I and the 10 others I came with would recommend this hotel.

Please read before staying here!!! We stayed here during our son graduation from basic training. The suites are small and bathroom even smaller. The heat did not work in either room and please keep in my it was 25 degrees outside. We called down to the front desk to ask for maintenance person and was told one would be sent to our room. But at no point did one ever show up. We were then told they would bring us a portable heater. We waited for 15 minutes or more and finally we call back down to the front desk only to be told they were out of heaters “so I guess there were more than one room without heat “. They could have at least gave us the common courtesy of letting us know they were out of the heaters. The beds are hard and had a bug on the pillow and at checkout I made the manager aware and the only thing she did was compensated us on the bill which we would have paid, but we only wanted to make them aware so no one else has to freeze. She was not sympathetic and her apology was not genuine. Will never stay there AGAIN!!!

Attending a two week course on Ft. Jackson at SSI and was booked by IHG to stay in Dozier Hall. Have been here less than 5 days and have had the following issues: smoke detector dangling from ceiling in bedroom after upstairs occupants kept dropping heavy things, door lock wasn’t working to secure room on second day, both phones in room don’t work in order to call the front desk to request maintenance work orders, found a “palmetto bug” (large cockroach) in my room after coming back after PT, and now apparently (after calling the front desk on my cellphone because the phones in my room still don’t work) they don’t service rooms on Fridays because the weekend starts after Thursday and you have to request cleaning on Friday through Sunday in advance. Considering the Army is paying for the contracted service for lodging for students you would expect better but clearly not. Beware if you get stuck staying here. Follow up: it’s now been 7 days here. I’ve found out the front desk lied to me about service on Fridays, door has stopped locking again today, no full cleaning has been conducted and when calling the front desk (again from my cell because the phones are still broken) I’m initially told they can leave a note for housekeeping to do a full cleaning tomorrow like they say they are supposed to do every 7 days and then they back track and say I will need to call in the morning to speak to someone. I will be notifying the school house so they can take it up with the hotel and Garrison.

Palmetto was a very nice place to stay. They say it's smaller than the other hotels on base. But it was just fine for us. Very clean. Soft bed good pillows. Even marked hard medium and soft. A small kitchen with coffee pot microwave and stove top. WiFi and cable. Really enjoyed the stay. It was kinda expensive specially if you have a pet $75. Pet fee. But you get what you pay for. We are very satisfied with our stay

Or all in excellent stay at another one of IHGs convenient and comfortable Hotel locations. Clean rooms, solid wifi, and conveniently located close to everything important. Food and local offices are just a short drive away, and taxis are plentiful at this location. Plus I got to check in for more IHG reward points! Pleased with my stay.
