We stay here when we are in Orangeburg. The staff is friendly and they always have cookies out in the evening. Coffee is always available. The breakfast bar has a nice variety of foods. Cereals, pastries, make it yourself waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, fruit and yogurt just to name a few. The price is reasonable and the room is spacious and comfortable. They are currently getting a nice face lift in the lobby and breakfast area.

We have stayed in nearly all of the hotels in this area.  This one was by far the worst and from what I can see continues to go down hill.   To start I am disabled, I use a wheelchair.  I also have a trained and registered service dog.  When we checked in no one said anything about the dog.  It was a non-issue.   However the following morning when we went to breakfast the woman running the breakfast room blocked my path refusing me entry.  Let me pause here. : My dog wears all the appropriate gear, she is always attached to my chair with a leash.  :  Said woman informed me loudly that only Seeing Eye Dogs were allowed .   After explaining the law to her I was grudgingly allowed to eat my breakfast.  When I brought this to the attention of the management by way of email and later review I never heard a word in return.   The hotel was adequate for comfort, the rooms were large enough , but the service was lacking on every level.

We choose this hotel and paid a premium over the other nearby choices because we have liked all the other Country Inns we've stayed at.  Well, it turns out the management has a lot to do with the quality of your stay and the management at this location is sadly lacking.
To start, the room we were given was not made up.  We arrived at 5:00 pm.  We opened the door to a dirty bathroom and unmade beds.  Not nice.
There just didn't seem to be any commitment to the details at this hotel.  It didn't feel clean, floor mats were askew and backwards, and I got the sense of a disinterested staff.
On top of this, the walls must be made of paper as we were sure people were in our bathroom, but we're actually upstairs or next door.

Everyone was wonderful!  Mr's. Ann was the best.  Traveling with animals isn't always easy. My furbabies bark at everything.  She called and wanted to make sure they were alright while we was at an event.  We also checked out early and it was no problem. If we ever go back to Orangeburg we will be staying there again!!!!  Thanks Mrs Ann and staff!!!

I would recommend this hotel as long as you are not planning on using the sofa beds.  The two room suites were fantastic.  Beds wonderful; breakfast fantastic; clean and wonderful.  Only problem the pull out pad (wasn't a mattress) was a relatively thin pad and was stained on both of our rooms.  Also, we have to ask for linens for the putt outs.
