They might have a small menu, But everything was absolutely exceptional. You can tell it’s a scratch kitchen, and the attention to detail when it comes to food is incredible. They have an outdoor seating area, open main floor, and a loft area. This spicy tequila drink is amazing. And I’m not a fan of donuts, but they put ricotta in their donuts which makes them super soft and has a nice crisp on the outside from being fried
Heard really great things about this place from a good friend of mine so we made reservations ahead of time for dinner. Got there around 5:30 on a Thursday and practically had the place to ourselves. Although it did start to pick up quite a bit especially, by the time we left. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. We sat upstairs with a beautiful view of the city. The service was amazing and the food was exceptional. Ordered the Chicken Milanese and it was incredible. Located in the rino art district. I Highly recommend this place.
Fantastic location with excellent food! The seating arrangement was a bit awkward with big booths set up back to back with just a few tables near the bar area. I’m guessing they are strategically placed this way due to COVID in which case they work well and are better than dividers. Parking is a bit limiting but if you can find a spot across the street, great! All appetizers that we tried were fantastic including the burrata with prosciutto. The risotto/fungi was excellent. Wine list could have been a bit more extensive but the ones they had were good. Am definitely coming back next time I’m in Denver.
Absolutely delicious! I came here for brunch and the food options as well as drinks were amazing. The buratta is extremely fresh, and the noodles taste like they are made on site. The sauces were also yummy. Our service was ok, took a long time to check on us... But they mentioned they were short staffed and that's why we couldn't sit on the top floor. Definitely stop in if you're looking for delicious Italian or brunch fare!
My wife and I had dinner here to celebrate both of our birthdays. I think I hyped up the meal too much in my head beforehand and was left thinking it was just OK. The cocktails were great! The suppli were good, we ordered the burrata but didn’t receive it, they were definitely busier than they had been during covid! The pappardelle was definitely our preferred entree! And the desserts were great!
The flavor of each dish was impeccable. Our group shared gnocchi, mussels, chicken, mushroom risotto and broccolini, and we each had our own favorites, but loved them all. I personally loved the chicken, both sauces were delicious. The cost was a bit high, but we went all out on drinks and dessert as well. Highly recommend the creme brulee. It might be a basic dish, but it was *chef's kiss* here.
We had a wonderful dinner at Il Posto. Kole was a wonderful waiter. Very attentive and helpful with a spill we had. Our fault not his. I would highly recommend the mussels, beat carpaccio, and chocolate flour less cake. The children's pasta is reasonably priced only $5. The decor is modern and inviting. The booths are very tall and offer a great buffer between parties. Our family loves a good booth.
Elk meatballs were just ok. The pappardalle was a bit too Al dente…. But everything else was MINDBLOWING. best Italian food I’ve had in a while. They are doing amazing things with mushroom and cheese.
The atmosphere was nice as it was relatively empty for a Sunday early evening, although, it started getting busy around 19:30. Plan to spend a couple hours here. They take their time. Our entrees took awhile to come out and we had to wait awhile when we were through to pay and leave. Definitely no sense of urgency and it may be so you’ll buy more alcohol, idk. Obviously, steak tartare and carpaccio are different things. This was my first experience with tartare and I liked that tartare more than any carpaccio I have ever eaten. The meat was tender and flavorful with aioli and capers. It sat on a bed of a parmesan crisp which is way better than bread. I had the duck risotto for my entree. The duck was cooked very nicely and wasn’t too gamey. The risotto was heavy and very strongly flavored. It depends on your taste, I thought it was a bit strong, but, to each their own. Definitely worth eating at just once. One thing is they don’t have normal sodas so I ended up getting a mocktail and didn’t really enjoy it. Ice tea, Mexican soda, or water is pretty much it if you don’t drink alcohol.
I ordered my go-to-dish, paparadelle. The thick pasta ribbons were freshly made and perfectly al dente. The meat ragu was a perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and savory with hints of rosemary, fennel, onions, coriander, and the ever nutty Parmiagiano-Regianno. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. It's always fun to dine at Il Posto for several reasons. We enjoy seeing the charasmatic owner/chef Andrea Frizzi. According to our server, he wasn't on the premises but could pop in at any moment. We were seated at a table adjacent to the sidewalk where we reveled in the people watching all night. Having a few drinks while taking in the scooters, bumping street music, and urban millenial fashions was a highlight of the weekend. Since we drove into Five Points from the suburbs, we were anxious about getting a parking spot so that my wife wouldn't have to walk ten blocks in her dress shoes. But magical things always happen when we dine at Il Posto. As luck would have it, we found a parking spot fifty feet from the restaurant. I attached a beautiful picture of the Pappardelle and our wonderful parking spot. Keep up magic, Il Posto!
