Story

The Inn of the Turquoise Bear is a quintessential rambling adobe villa set in the heart of historic Santa Fe. Guests of our Santa Fe bed and breakfast will enjoy being within walking distance to Santa Fe's Plaza, museums, galleries, shops, fine dining, and nightlife.
The estate was once the home of noted poet, playwright and essayist Witter Bynner. Lawrence, Ansel Adams, Igor Stravinsky, Martha Graham, Willa Cather, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Stephen Spender, Christopher Isherwood, Georgia O'Keeffe, Mary Austin, Thornton Wilder, Robert Oppenheimer, Robert Frost, W. H. Auden, Lynn Riggs, Rita Hayworth, Errol Flynn and countless others. Constructed in a Spanish-Pueblo Revival Style, the historic adobe estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is consider one of Santa Fe's most significant structures.

More comfortable than home! Outstanding food and gracious hospitality. The Inn has a positive energy that encourages guests to relax and renew. Every member of the staff—from the Innkeeper, Dan, the Assistant Innkeeper, Alex, to the cleaning and maintenance men and women—was helpful, smiling, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We shared Christmas with the wonderful staff and an exceptional group of guests. Can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay. The Spud Johnson room is cozy and quiet. It was great meeting and chatting with the hosts and other guests over breakfast. A short walk from the square, but nicely away from the crowds when you want to rest and relax. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely second stay at Inn of the TB in Santa Fe and plan to keep coming back in the future. The inn itself is wonderful - a cozy and unique abode that is beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming and perfectly located just off the beaten path yet easily accessible/walkable to the the main downtown and square of Santa Fe. Alex and Dan could not be more accommodating - very helpful in suggesting restaurants and activities, providing with directions, etc and also make the most amazing breakfasts! We can not say enough good things about our experience at Inn of the TB.

We were very pleased with our stay at this beautiful inn. We enjoyed everything from the greeting upon our arrival to the roaring fire in our cozy room, the O'Henry, as we settled in for the night. The steady supply of divine homemade treats and the variety of offerings for breakfast were exceptional. We also enjoyed the other guests we met and dined with during our stay. I have shared photos and the inn website with friends who are likely to be guests in the future. I must say that this resplendent inn, attentive service and delectable food provided the best B&B experience we've had anywhere. We hope to return!

Dan, Alex, and their team are wonderful hosts. I felt like a welcomed guest at the home of a good friend. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. The breakfasts are epic (a different smoothie every day, eggs made to order, delicious house specials). Wine on the patio is not to be missed, a perfect chance to enjoy good company while watching birds dart in and out of the beautiful garden. Freshly baked goodies are available every day (with pie on Fridays). My only regret is that I didn't spend more time just enjoying the inn. Next time!
