My fiance and I bought a gemstone (moissanite) engagement ring from JR Fox in August of 2017. A week after we were engaged and I had the ring, a flaw was discovered in the ring. Specifically, the stone had chipped in about 5 places - as a very hard gemstone, this is not supposed to happen (and not so quickly, especially while I was taking extreme care with the ring). I took it to the location that we had purchased it from with all of our paperwork. The salesperson was so rude to me that I was nearly in tears by the time I left - the tone and content of what she said to me told me that since I had not purchased a diamond, that my issue was not worth their time. I asked to price out a fix for the problem, and the salesperson asked me why I would want to do that, since it would just happen again (because the stone was not a diamond). She refused any repairs on the ring, even though she inspected it and found the chips herself. This communicated to me that once JR Fox has a sale, they do not take proper care of their customers.

We later discovered that the distributor of the moissanite has a fantastic warranty program and we were able to get the issue fixed through them. Instead of walking me through that process and going through the options, the salesperson dismissed my issue as "something that will just happen" because the stone was not a diamond.

I was initially very pleased with how JR Fox worked with us on the design process and putting the final product together, but was extremely offended by the way I was treated once the sale was complete.

Walked in ten minutes before closing, but staff didn't mind. They were very helpful, even pulled out some s merchandise they had already put away. Helped me find exactly what I was looking for, even though I wasn't sure when I went in.
