Absolutely horrifying. I came in a couple of weeks ago trying to find a pet rat. First of all, the store and all the enclosures and aquariums were filthy. Then, I was told that all of their rats are bred as feeders. When I voiced my concerns about buying a feeder rat as a pet (health/temperament issues) he assured me they would be ok. I should have trusted my gut. After bringing one home, I noticed he was wheezing so I took him to the vet for antibiotics. Last week one of my other rats caught his infection and died days later. Today I came home and the rat I bought here was dead. Tomorrow I have another vet appointment for my remaining rat who just got the infection. I’ve lost two pets, possibly three, and racked up well over $100 in vet bills. But, hey, J&S Pet Store made a whole $10.

They're friendly they're willing to help you and they're not too expensive they could have a little bit more but you know there  a small place  otherwise they're good

We purchased a guinea pig from here a few years ago, and so we recently got him a friend. But the thing is, his friend is supposed to be only 1 and a half years old, BUT HE DIED THIS MORNING!!!! I don't know how this even happened, but I know is that the animals are kept in dirty, crowded, wire cages! Our new guinea pig was apparently the last one they had at the moment, all alone in a big dirty cage, and he died less than a week later. What kind of cruel conditions did he live in to die only a little over a year old!? If you ever plan on purchasing a pet from here, don't do it. Unless your PETA trying to rescue all the animals, then do you job and help them. And while your at it, send in a cleanup crew, the building itself is a complete dump. The customer service is terrible as well, my dad went to go see what he could do about our dead guinea pig, but the owner just got angry and yelled at him.

I really like this store. I understand why people are saying it's a little dirty. It could use a good cleaning. But I love the selection and the place in general. I hope that when its passed down it gets a remodel done and that it's brought up to date. Also whoever it's passed to has a love 4 animals as myself.

I go there about ever two weeks and I really am treated very well. Jim is a very nice person and always has time to visit a little.
