Since 1982, Valley Pets has been family operated and owned. We carry a wide variety of exotic animals, as well as all the dry goods necessary to successfully maintain and care for them. This is literally the first time I have been compelled to write a bad review. The conditions are horrendous. A snake had regurgitated its full meal and when I showed one of the glorified volunteers he said "so?". Several anoles were dead on top of the snake enclosures. They were dead for days by how shrunken they looked. When I informed them about it I got hostility and accusations. They had four African soft rats in with ball pythons that were clearly not interested and they were in there for a good 20 mins huddled in a corner. That is extremely dangerous to the snakes. The kittens are in poor health and so are the dogs. Fish tanks look disgusting. Ball pythons have no hides. A leopard gecko was being bit by crickets because some ass hat stuck THIRTY in with one leopard gecko. The owner has always appreciated my advice and help. He "hires" his dumb ass children. Idiots who know absolutely nothing about the animals they "care" for. When I asked if they needed help he said "talk to someone on Tuesday and we can see what you can do."
Seriously?! I offered to help real quick and they want me to prove myself when I was already bringing a lot of problems to their attention. I asked for the owner's number so I didn't have to write a public review but they got mad over that too so I guess I have to. ;) it used to be a good store at one point. Let professionals care for your animals. Not jerk offs who stand around the counter flapping their lips. They talked behind my back loudly, offended that I had asked whether or not they were volunteers. Wouldn't have to ask that if you had a brain. Condescending, rude, bitchy. Their prices have gotten outrageously laughable. I got fed up and left while they were asking me where the rest of the dead anoles were. Never coming back to this store. Lost a customer.

The quality of life these poor dogs and rest of the animals have..... horrifying. The store is absolutely filthy, puppies are supposed to make you happy and I left this store 100% disappointed. Keeping this store open is inhumane. I don't want to give my money to some breeder who doesn't care about the animals but I also don't want room leave the puppies there! 😠😳 shut it down!

We got our hamster from here. No problems with her health.  We love coming in and looking at all the amazing animals there!

This place is filthy.  Not only is the store a mess, the majority of the sales associates/owners cuss worse than sailors, not only to each other but at customers.  Every time we have been in, the majority of the reptiles are soaking in their dishes, indicating an infestation of mites.  Depending on who you are dealing with the price of a rat changes and they are charging significantly more than Scales n Tales.  I would much rather make the thirty-minute drive north to purchase feeder rats of high quality and a steady price than to enter this pet store again.

I don't see how this place is allowed to remain open.
It is filthy, the guys working in there pass wrong information on how to keep the animals they sell, and I don't even want to know where the doggies they sell come from. Very sad they even sell dogs at their store (yeah, now you will tell me they were all "rescued", right...).
On top of that the guys are rude, and don't open the store on time. Overall I recommend to not support a place like that!
