I love 2 hours away from this beautiful shop. I only trust Roger and his jewelers,wax casters, diamond setters to handle my jewelry when I need any work done or repairs. He worked with me recently to make a gorgeous custom necklace. The work of the jewelers is exquisite. Roger has beautiful antique and unique jewelry in his store for purchase.  The customer interaction is a delight. I cannot say enough good things without sounding like a family member who is planted to gush. The Jewelers Eye and the owner Roger Hautsch are a wonderful hidden jewel off main street in Charlottesville.

Super nice guy with some gorgeous and unique pieces. Such a nice experience over a chain jeweler. Always happy to support the small businesses in town and will be going back regularly to see what he has next.

I have to say this was some of the best interactions I have ever had with a store/salesperson. My girlfriend and I made multiple trips, often vacillating between rings/stones, and Roger was amazing the entire time. He was knowledgeable, patient, and understanding with a dash of interesting personal stories. I wish all my shopping interactions were this good!

Going to this store made our day! The owner was knowledgeable, thoughtful, attentive, and clearly a master of his craft. We went to this store to get a market value appraisal of my great grandmother's ring, and the owner took the time to explain each facet of the ring quality to us in a way that we could easily understand. It is obvious he cares about his job, even going out of his way to clean the ring and instruct us on how to clean it at home. I couldn't be more impressed--don't hesitate to check it out if you're in the market for high quality, fair priced items!

I want to echo all the wonderful things people are saying about this fabulous operation.  I was first introduced to Roger and the Jeweler's Eye by a friend 12 years ago when I was looking to get an engagement ring designed and buiilt for my wife, and I have always been impressed with Roger's eye for and knowledge of jewelry.  The Jeweler's Eye always has some of the most unique and interesting pieces of jewelry I've ever seen and the engagement ring Roger created for us is still one of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry my wife & I have ever seen.  We've continued to go back to Roger over and over again over the years to get beautiful jewelry created (his & her wedding bands, and 5-year anniversary ring) and jewelry advise.  I'm back again for a 10-year anniversary present and can't wait to see what wonder ideas Roger has this time around.  I'm looking forward to continuing to work with Roger and all the great folks at Jeweler's Eye for many more years to come!
