My experience with Joe's Garage was exemplary. The owner Joe, is experienced, knowledgeable and personable. The staff is welcoming and efficient. My car was fixed in record time and drives beautifully. I have used Joe's Garage for years and I would never change. Joe treats his customers like family. If you are looking for a trustworthy, ethical and fair priced car repair shop, I recommend Joe's!

I had nothing but problems. I rebuilt my motor in my back yard and it has lasted longer than what they did at their shop. They gave me no warranty on the work and the motor that THEY ordered and installed lasted 6 months. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL

My friends have been using Joe for a long time, with great success, so I took my old Volvo there. The first service was wonderful - very thorough and reasonable. The second time, he completed a $ 200 service including oil change and transmission fluid change. The car was ready for pick up. An hour later, a tree service truck that pulled into his lot rammed my car, totaling it. Even though this happened while my car was in his care, at his shop, Joe still wanted the $ 200 because the accident wasn't his fault. Well, typically, shops are insured for things like that. When I drop off a car for repair, I expect to get it back. I guess he didn't want to file with his insurance and have his rate increase. The tree truck's insurance of course paid me the due pittance for my old car as is expected. What irks me to this day (and it's been over a year) is the fact that I had to give Joe, who was completely indifferent about the whole thing, $ 200 for a service on a car that was officially salvaged a few days later. Something is just wrong about that. Two stars only because the work he does do is great.

I'm new to Athens and discovered Joe's Garage after a chain didn't want to try to fix my ignition issues. I called this garage and explained the problem. They were able to make an appointment for this afternoon. After finding the problem, they went the extra mile and ordered the part in right away and fixed it this afternoon since I didn't have a ride to leave it overnight and we were all worried that it might not start tomorrow. They went above and beyond the norm to help me. Also, I feel like they charged me a far price.
