Story

John Ball Zoo is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation committed to the advancement of public education on the need for wildlife conservation and preservation. John Ball Zoo has over 1,300 animals including lions, tigers, chimpanzees, and a red panda, indoor and outdoor exhibits, interactive experiences, and so much more.

Neat medium sized zoo. Built into a hill with a neat funicular ride, zip lines and rope course. We loved the bears! Visted during speak break while many exhibits were under construction or closed for the season. Will return this summer when everything is open!

Great place to go if you have nothing to do on lazy Sunday. Kids love it here with the camels you can ride. Excellent food. Awesome, Clean Environment. I would give 10 stars but sadly I can't

It's amazing how many animals the zoo has it's also fun to walk the whole place to see them all. My son's reaction every time is priceless. I remember the first time that we went to family day at the zoo my son kept trying to join the animals in their habitats and his dad had to stop him every time but the most enjoyable part of visiting the zoo is seeing the smile on my son's face every time we go there.

One of my favorite zoos. The animals enclosures seem very representative of their natural habitat. The zoo worker made a special effort to give the bears their strawberry treat right near the observation windows. What a joy for our grandchildren to see the bears so close and eating healthy berries. Role models, maybe? I highly recommend this zoo for not only animal lovers but nature lovers too. Some up/down walking but lots of shade. A train is available to bring you up & down the hill. Enjoy🌲

Alot of the animals are out and they look so happy, the zoo was clean all around the animals cages well kept, it was truly a whole day of fun, and the gift shop has very cool things affordable. We will be going back many times this year.
