Story

The Washington Park Zoological Society announces the 6th Annual Brew at the Zoo, Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature beer, wine and food from regional breweries, wineries and restaurants. Plus, you'll receive full access to all exhibits within the zoo!

This is a 21-and-over only event. Admission is $50 per person and will include beer and wine samples, food samples and a commemorative tasting glass.

My family went here this small zoo is a great place for the whole family. My husband loved the tower and my nephew and I loved the birds area we found out that day, my nephew is a bird charmer.

It's a small zoo, however really packed with the best animals. No elephants. But Lemurs, cougars, lions, tigers, emus, deer, large tortoises, an alligator, bald eagles, monkeys, farm animals, otters and so much more. It's built on a hill so be prepared for a lot of up and down walking. They have stairs and smooth pathways so if you are in a wheelchair or scooter no problem. Gift shop, commissary. They also have options for donating, group events etc. Honestly one of the best features of Michigan City.

It is a small town zoo. As long as you know that you should be fine. It is very hilly, so I struggled a lot with my double stroller (City Select) and this one is very smooth and easy to maneuver. The train ride is more like a carnival ride. On the other hand, the staff is really friendly.

The Zoo would be a perfect place for anyone who wants to share family time or celebrate a family reunion.  The zoo is smaller but some interesting and unusual animals.  You pay to park outside the zoo and also to enter the zoo.  There is a public park and public beach just outside the zoo that is free.  The tower is fun to get a good view of the area around the zoo.  It was gun feeding the parakeets.  Good family fun

Great zoo for a great price! Definitely something we hope to bring our kids to in the future. Closes a little early, but it's still reasonable. We really enjoyed how close you got to all of the animals, the diversity of animals, and the historical personality of the zoo.
