We contacted them and others because we had no heat and were told they will "try" and get someone over to us.  They never called to say they were on the way and i guess the just showed up and saw another company already servicing us.  Their receptionist/scheduler called and let a threatening message on our voicemail sating that because their guy showed up and saw another truck and left that we were going to get billed and if we don't pay that she would make life hard for us. I asked to speak with the owner or her boss and she just hung up on me.  I called back and tried to ask again and she again hung up.  The 3rd time i called i left a voice mail sating that i would like to speak with the owner and finally he called and was rude, swore at me and called my wife and i losers.   I HOPE PEOPLE AVOID THESE CROOKS AND SCAMMERS LIKE THE PLAGUE.  I just read the other review and this time they will NOT get away with it!!!! AND THAT"S why they can't get accredited with the Better Business Bureau

We requested a quote for some work. The person who showed up took pictures of some of the items we requested to be quoted. Other items we requested to be quoted he touched and said "look I fixed it". We never heard back from them so we went with a different company for the work. Seven months later we got a call from a bill collector saying we owed money for work performed by John Babcock plumbing. We hadn't received any bill during the seven months that we could have discussed/disputed or even a phone call (they had our phone numbers). The receptionist was very rude when we called to dispute the charge and eventually screened our calls to avoid talking to us. We were told we had a month to pay (even without receiving a bill) otherwise our credit score would be affected. The bill collector (a personal friend of John Babcock by his claim) said we owed money for the items the guy touched while in the house. I tried to reason with them stating we hadn't received a bill and we didn't request the work but the bill collector and the company acted ridiculous, unwilling to listen to our valid point. We paid the bill in the end to avoid damage to our credit score. Avoid this company like the plague.
