If you want Below mediocre but really pricey food with a rude customer service, This is the place for you. Starting with a rude customer service . The food was below mediocre . Goat dum biryani was below average and had less meat. We had good biryani at Southern spice the previous day and it was 100 times tastier. Very less quantities for fried rice and it was below average. Definitely not for Authentic Indian food. The final bang for the buck was malai kulfi . It was 3 usd and you can see my photo on how small it is . You can get a pound of ice cream outside for the same cost and a better taste.
My rating is based on the most recent experience. Also it seems to be a family run business since I see the same familiar faces every time I go. I picked up some Karam podi, chutneys, curd rice, lassi and husband ordered chicken curry. Idli and Dosas we have tried are good. We have tried a few different things and we are more selective about what we order at curry point now. You can find better biryanis at few other Indian restaurants east side. Our go to Dum Biryani place is Cafe Bahar. Curry point has good curries and good andhra home style snacks and tiffins. On a side note while we were waiting for our order they gave us a sample of the Indian pizza they are introducing next week. The chicken pizza was really liked by hubby. He said he will be ordering more.
Ordered Kothu parota and rasamtraditional tamilnadu curry for rice, good for digestion. Both are good and tasty. Bought recently sambar, rasam and Beet poriyalvegetable dish
2nd visit: ordered the below items - Chicken Dum Biryani: Very good and tasty. Could have reduced oil little bit - Goat fry Biryani: This is Amazing. Super flavorful and tasty. Could have reduced oil little bit - Chicken 65: very decent and tasty - Karampodi chicken: not worth to eat or order. Totally mess Finally: If you like spicy food with decent taste, Then this is best place I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 star. I could have given 4, but yet to taste many items. 1st Visit: We ordered Goat fry Biryani which was the day special! More Gravy, less pieces. Normally we eat spicy food, but it is very spicy for us too. Not worth of the price!!
Veg. Hakka Noodles. I’ve been ordering this item many times before for my mother but for the last two times this Hakka noodles were prepared to below standard. I informed the front desk person the first time and again today, they prepared horrible noodles. It doesn’t look like Hakka noodles. It was filled with full of Indian masala. Hope you refund the money back by my card.
Good food at a reasonable price. Had the Thali and they have good options for curries which could have been better in taste in my opinion. Also had the tandoori fish here, which was spiced very well and tasted great.
We ordered two chicken curries.. one andhra chicken curry and a “chicken curry” ., the gravy of the chicken curry is colored water .. only masala without the flavor… I don’t recommend going to this place on weekday afternoons.
Great chicken tikka, also have paan. All meats are Halal pet the staff. Very reasonable prices. Good service. Very good desi fare, casual atmosphere.
Rating less than 0 should be available to rate this curry point. Forget about taste but atleast food should be fresh. I am not sure on how the rating for this restaurant is 3.5. Rice, chicken and mutton .. nothing is fresh. Please don’t get anything from this restaurant. Wast of your money and will have impact on your health if you eat such food. Buy food from some other location and store for 10 days and eat it. That is better than getting it from this store.
I had a great experience at Curry Point! The chicken 65 biryani was yummy, and the prices and quantity were both good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Indian meal.
