Story

Established in 1974, the Jim Wright Company "JWC" has grown into the largest full service Rental and Property Managment Company in the Fort Hood Area. We serve the needs of over 2,000 tenants and property owners each year with the majority of our customers being military. In addition, we provide Sales,and Leasing and Management on Commercial Properties in the Greater Fort Hood Area.

I rented 2 different places from JWC. I was told good about them. The first place I rented was good till it rains ed good, and the ceiling in my room started leaking. It was leaking out if the fan. It took them a month to come fix it, and when the guy came he left the shingles and nails all over the back yard. I had to complain several times. I ended cleaning it myself. My lease ended so I moved and looked for a company outside of them. A few months after I moved JWC took over management of the unit. I understood as when I moved in the previous tenants did so much damage to the place. The owners had to remodel the unit next to me. I had to break my lease early as my father was diagnosed with cancer. I followed everything they said needed to be done. I even bought a toilet seat cover as the other one was broken. I got a letter from them about all these damages I did. They were all there before I moved in, there is even an exit door that I am being charged for that there is nothing wrong with. 

Now I'm in WA and they will only give a reference on the place I owe on for damages not done buy me. They one I left that was in good standing they will take send. I already told the company here about JWC. All they have done is prove how dirty they are. I told them I would pay what I owe but I refuse to pay for what I did the do. I would not suggest renting form this company all they do is screw the tenants over. I understand they are there to protect the owners, but if you have ever happy tenants you are more likely to rent more places.  I know people in Texas as do my kids. None of them will rent from JWC for the same reasons.

First off... They started out as a good rental agency. They catered to our needs, answered all our questions.. Etc. Once we signed out lease, boom...180. We didn't matter anymore. Workorders took weeks. Call backs never happened.... But the worst part was moving out. They charged $245 of our deposit for a light bulb, and "cleaning". When they showed us the before and after pictures, they were exactly the same. Exactly the same. They also charged us $45 for grass cutting...even though the DAY BEFORE our inspection I had a professional lawn service come cut it for $60. When we called to dispute, they gave us the run around...and  even treated us like some sort of lower class. I would not ever... Ever recommended them... And from the reviews above, we're not the only ones who have had the same problems. Beware if you do decide to sign with them...they're definitely not all the "glam and glitter" they appear.

My experience has been excellent! Not living in Texas and moving with the military JWC has been absolutely outstanding. I had to go through two other property managers to get to JWC, but once I started working with them everything went great!

Absolutely the worst company you could ever go through. I strongly advise all military personnel to stay the hell away from these Nazi's. They do not care about the properties they offer, all they care about is your money. I left the property I rented from them 10x better than when I found it and got 1/6th of my deposit back. I only gave it one star because google won't let me give negative stars. Every person that works for them are a bunch of rude individuals. I can only hope and pray that they get black listed so our military members won't get screwed over by these thieves anymore.

JWC has been managing my properties since 1984 when I started with just one.  Now they manage 4 different properties (8 units) for us and we could not be happier.  I am proud to say we have done business for so the past 33 years.  They have been great for us and very attentive to our needs.  Very professional all around and all though the years.
