Let's face it  -- health care just isn't what it used to be, no excuse just a reality.  I am a former employee of it and have family members whose combined experience is over 100 years  -- they are among the small majority still trying to make the experience for the patient and family a pleasant one. I've found a great majority of the staff at Kindred doing the best they can, to provide satisfactory care for their patients.  It's not possible to find perfection in any place, Kindred is striving to be. I wrote this because the great should not suffer for the few not so great. I give them an over all  5-star --- not because of perfection, but because our great has outweighed the not so great.  My Mother's care by the staff  (most especially ICU, 2nd and 4th floors) has been superb.  "Sam" in Admissions has not treated my mom  or family as just another number, but with concern and compassion. Periodically she comes by to make sure we are doing okay or just to say hi.  Whenever there has been any sort of issue, it was addressed immediately and rectified to my families satisfaction.  Staff of Kindred, just keep up the great work!  God  sees and God knows!!!  A billion thanks from the Andrews Family!!

My mom was brought from that hell hole in lake worth SELECT SPECIALTY HOSPITAL! Their ONLY specialty is that they have perfected patient abuse. KINDRED MEDICAL CENTER IS TOP KNOTCH AND THE CARE FROM THE STAFF IS BEYOND FANTASTIC. SELECT SPECIALTY HOSPITAL REFUSED TO EVEN GIVE "ICE CHIPS" TO KEEP MY MOMS "DRY MOUTH" DISORDER AT BAY. She arrived at KINDRED HOSPITAL around 7pm. THE VERY NEXT DAY THEY HAD HER ON LIQUIDS. OUTSTANDING!!!! THEY TREAT MY MOM LIKE THEIR ONLY PATIENT. I'm amazed every time I go visit her. I had a nurse say good morning to me and she was busy with her own patient! AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ME!  If your loved one needs care beyond your standard hospital and you want a staff that LISTENS and REALLY lives up to being what a nurse is... bring them here

Great doctors!  If a method of treatment is not working for me, my doctor comes up with another alternative and we try that.  He gets specialists involved to combat this illness as a team.
