The nurses and staff are great here, they have been taking very good care of my Aunt, who was told she wasn't going to make it from another hospital. Within 3 short weeks she has improved so much with the assistance from here! I would definitely recommend Select Specialty Hospital. Thank you for helping my Aunt heal!

Life saving angels. Not only do they care for my husband they take care of me !  I feel like friends are surrounding us. THANK YOU to all the staff from my heart , thank you.
 
Wound care has performed miracles. I can only hope our next transfer can follow up on what has been accomplished. I fear leaving Select. 

If all healthcare followed Select standards America's health facilities would not have such problems.

Select prides itself in being clean . As I watched rooms being cleaned for new patients there is attention to every detail. A full day of two people cleaning . Their infection rate is far below the national average. 

KINDNESS from the guards at the front door to everyone on the staff, 
I do mean everyone. The medical staff and the business end of health
care are all   professional and kind. I am always listened to. I can go home and sleep at night and know my loved one is safe !

There are few places in the country that could of helped my husband like they did with so much grace , intelligence , respect , professionalism and kindness.

Love and respect to all the people that are helping us. I will forever be sincerely grateful to everyone.  A nurse who found me wondering the halls hysterically looking for my purse I thought I had lost (my life is in that bag). He offered to walk  to my car with me ( my hysterical second trip) then asked "might you have left it home" ,  I had . My son confirmed it was safe at home.  That nurse could of looked right past me but he did not. Everyone goes the extra mile.

I know what bad care is my husband almost died from ineptitude. Select has saved my husband and given me priceless peace of mind. My husband has a chance now , their wound care is superior. 

Kudos to whomever is in charge of hiring.

All I can tell you is my own experience.  These people saved my father's life.  He was released from ICU to this hospital in such bad shape.  One of the nurses stayed past her shift to care for him.  They (the nursing staff
were all over him -- when he needed it).  He was there for almost 4 weeks
and I thank God for these people.  The entire Employee Staff are very friendly and helpful.  I can't say enough good things about this place!

There is no option for "no star" so I have to give this disgusting hospital 1 star. My mother who is 83 years old with a drastically  "compromised" immune system who is also a diabetic had a blood sugar level test done COMPLELTY WRONG and was given insulin, multiple doses that wasn't even needed.  when she threw up later that evening, she called the nurses station 3 times and she was left for over 30 minutes in her own throw-up. She was on pain meds every "3" hours but when I got there Sunday morning at 9:30a.m. she told me she had not received any since 3:00 a.m. that same morning. I quickly brought this to the attention of the "charge" nurse, she told me she would get it to "right away" yet it took another 30 minutes. Now... 30 minutes is not long, BUT IT IS WHEN THE MEDS WERE ALREADY 6/12 HOURS LATE and its your "mom". You know, we all hear horror stories about things like this happening to the elderly all the time, and guess what, IT DOES! AT SELECT SPECIALTY HOSPITAL OF LAKE WORTH. Now I understand why they have such a poor rating. And i agree with another persons post..."the nurses are unqualified"   I got in touch with KINDRED HOSPITAL in west palm about having my mom transferred and they told me this isn't the first time someone has left SELECT SPECIALTY to come to Kindred but to be ready for them to try to make it hard as they dont want to lose the income from the patients insurance.... HA HA HA  They have no idea who they are dealing with my mom with be outta there in less than 2 days... IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THEY GO TO SELECT AND YOU LET IT HAPPEN YOU WILL REGRET IT.   WHAT IF  WHATEVER THEY GAVE MY MOM BY MISTAKE WITH ALL THE SUGAR WAS SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE KILLED HER. SIMPLE STUPID MISTAKES LIKE WHAT THEY GAVE HER SHOUND NEVER,NEVER,NEVER HAPPEN.... DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS HOSPITAL AND YOU SEE WHY THEY ONLY GOT 3 STARS ON GOOGLE

You don't have to believe all the bad comments but let me tell you.. the reason some of the patients had a good experience with Select specialty hospital is that they wasn't the one's who was targeted, this place is EVERY BAD COMMENT and more, MEDICAL MALPRACTICE is written all over the Doctors, nurses, Respiratory therapists etc. Please Believe the people that are leaving the bad comments because Oh.. Now I do and saw It right before my eyes it is the TRUTH, thier patients are truly under grave danger and their life are on the line, I don't no how they choose which patient but THIS HOSPITAL IS OUT FOR YOUR MONEY INDEED, DOING OPERATIONS AND PROCEDURES THAT DOES NOT NEED TO BE PERFORMED ON THEY'RE PATIENTS AS WELL AS PROLONGED STAYS.. JUST TO CAP OFF MEDICARE TILL THE LAST DIME!! Two of my love ones was patients at this place HORRIBLE AND WICKED Ps. majority of they're staff ABSOLUTELY LACKS QUALIFICATIONS.. WARNING COMES BEFORE THE FALL.. Take Heed & RUNNNNNNN...... Don't fall for anything they tell you
